Covid-19 Response

SUPPORTING OUR EMPLOYEES, CLIENTS, AND COMMUNITY THROUGH COVID-19

We are currently operating as an essential business under the precautionary measures put in place by the State of New York to combat the Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

During this period, we are working to provide the best possible service to our customers, while at the same time being responsible citizens.

To that end, we are attempting to reduce the amount of social contact at our offices in an effort to protect both our staff and our clients. Currently, some of our staff are working on-site, while others are working remotely.

If you are comfortable doing so, we ask that you drop off your tax information at our office so that we may prepare your return.  During our preparation, we will reach out to you with any questions, or request additional information. If you prefer a meeting to prepare your taxes, please contact your preparer to schedule an appointment.

Please keep in mind that tax information can also be forwarded to our office via the mail and other delivery services or uploaded to one of our client portals which are free, secure and encrypted. If you would like a portal but do not yet have one, please discuss it with any staff member. We would be happy to set one up. If necessary, we can also make arrangements to pick up your tax information from you.

If you have visited a known Covid-19 hot spot, or have been in contact with someone known to have the virus in the last 14 days please refrain from visiting our offices until at least 14 days after your return to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

John P. Mucke, CPA

INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19 RELIEF

In an effort to keep you informed on the rapidly changing forms of financial relief available under the Corona Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, we will be sending out periodic emails. We will attempt to tailor the information you receive so that what you receive is most applicable to you, however, this information is very dynamic so to be cautious we may err on the side of sending you information that may not apply directly to your particular situation.

We are working hard to understand all the provisions of this legislation and the effects it has on our clients. Everybody has questions. Sadly, many of the answers do not yet exist. We will continue to send out emails to you as information and clarification becomes available.
If you have any questions, please contact our offices. We are continuing to work, but in most cases remotely, so your call may not be answered right away, but we do continue to retrieve our voicemails on a periodic basis.

May you and yours stay safe and healthy,

John and Staff
